Dino Colombo and Jon Godwin represented Randy and LeeAnn Buck of Parkersburg, WV in a case where Randy was rear ended by a semi-truck pulling an 80,000 pound dump trailer. Fortunately, Randy was not killed but he did have significant long term back, neck, and knee problems. The insurance company dug their heels in and would offer only $125,000 to settle the case. In fact, they filed an Offer of Judgement for $125,000 which if the jury awarded less than that amount, Randy and his wife would have had to pay the insurance company certain costs. We were undeterred by this threatening tactic employed by the insurance company and took the case to trial. After a 3 day trial, the jury awarded $505,144.47 which is more than 4 times the amount offered to settle the case. Congratulations to Randy and LeeAnn who are very courageous people.
